We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Banquet Assistant Manager to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team!

Reporting to the Director of Banquets, you will manage and provide support to all areas of Banquets. As a Banquet Assistant Manager you will oversee the execution of events, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction while upholding the luxury standards of our resort throughout our indoor and outdoor banquet spaces.

Responsibilities:
Leading and managing banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and housemen, to ensure smooth and efficient operations during events.

Managing event setup, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and tableware, and overseeing the proper placement of decorations and signage.

Communicating event details and specific guest requests to the banquet team and ensuring they are executed accurately and promptly.

Conducting pre-event briefings with staff to review event details, service expectations, and any special instructions or considerations.

Monitoring event progress and anticipating guest needs, responding promptly to any requests or concerns to ensure exceptional service.

Liaisinge with event planners, kitchen staff, and other resort departments to ensure proper coordination and execution of events.

Assisting with serving food and beverages, as needed, and providing support to staff during peak periods or high-profile events.

Maintaining cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces and equipment, including bar setups, service stations, and storage areas.

Handling any guest inquiries, complaints, or issues in a professional and timely manner, striving to exceed guest expectations and resolve issues to their satisfaction.

Qualifications:
Previous experience as a banquet captain or in a similar supervisory role in the hospitality industry is required.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional service.

Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
