Job Summary

The Brokerage Business Consultant at Plan Advisors is primarily responsible for supporting our Agency and Broker partners to ensure their success. This role requires a deep understanding of various insurance carriers' rules and procedures to assist in broker onboarding, appointments, and other procedural questions regarding the carrier. The Service Consultant is expected to respond to inquiries promptly and accurately. Immediate response is preferred when possible, or within 48 hours for more complex questions.

Primary Responsibilities

Broker/Agency Onboarding

  • Send contracting and onboarding invitations.
  • Follow-up to contract invitations.
  • Assist with Certification steps and navigation.
  • Assist in ensuring agent is ready to sell (RTS).
  • Updating Sales Force (SF) with accurate information.
  • Keep SF demographic information up to date (email, phone, addresses).
Broker/Agency Management
  • Routing documents to appropriate departments (ABTFs, DAAFs, Licenses, E&O, etc.).
  • Send Reports to appropriate Agents/Agencies .
  • Fulfilling enrollment material supply needs.
  • Assisting with and submitting pay audits.
  • Promoting E&O options through Plan Advisors.
  • Continuously fine-tuning SF Data accuracy.
  • Assist with Compliance audits.
  • Keeping company procedures up to date.
Broker/Agency Service
  • Assist agents in understanding carrier self-service tools and carrier system navigation.
  • Champion Member Issues on behalf of Broker (ARSOS, ASU).
  • Assist brokers with inquiries regarding pending Apps, ID cards, Claims, Rx issues, Providers, Billing.
  • Be familiar with carrier agent portals, providing guidance on request.
  • Agent assistance with Physician Finder, Plan Finder, Rx Tool, etc.
Communication
  • Answering the phone in a prompt courteous manner.
  • Returning phone calls and emails within 24 hours.
  • Providing continual updates if inquiry could not be answered during initial request (every 48 hours until completion).
  • Keeping team members informed of "need to know" information.
Other Duties as Assigned
  • Additional duties that may pertain to Plan Advisors internal operations ( i.e. licensing).


Primary Skills & Requirements
  • Knowledge of various insurance carriers' rules and procedures.
  • Experience with Sales Force (SF) and maintaining accurate information.
  • Ability to assist with Certification steps and navigation.
  • Familiarity with carrier agent portals and providing guidance on request.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries in a prompt and accurate manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Experience in assisting with Compliance audits.
  • Ability to keep company procedures up to date.
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.
