We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team!

Responsibilities:
Conducts opening and closing of daily housekeeping operations as assigned.

Inspects guest rooms cleaned by assigned Room Attendants, using designated checklists directly engage room attendants and relay any deficiencies to be corrected.

Inspects public areas and service areas after being cleaned by attendants using designated checklists. Directly contact respective personnel and relay any deficiencies to be corrected.

Inspects supply levels of floor closets and assigns designated personnel to rectify any deficiencies.

Updates room status after approving cleanliness and condition by departmental standards.

Coordinates breaks for assigned staff.

Assigns designated guest room keys and devices to assigned staff.

Communicates additions or changes to the assignment sheets as they arise throughout the shift.

Completes work orders for maintenance repairs.

Provides feedback on staff performance to the director and participates in the counseling of employees.

Verifies room status on HMS and Alice; reports discrepant rooms; prioritizes and updates status of check-out rooms.

Conducts training of staff as assigned.

Ensures that assigned staff has reported to work and documents any late or absent employees.

Maintains complete knowledge of and compliance with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.

Maintains complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.

Resolves guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction and reports for improvement.

Anticipates guests' needs, responds promptly, and acknowledges all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.

Attends designated meetings.

Performs other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management or related field is a plus.

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.

Strong proficiency in using hotel management software and computer systems.

Proficiency in Alice, HMS management software is preferred.

Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical handling, as well as requirements and use of equipment is preferred.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively or as a part of a team.

Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal. Provide legible communication.

Physical mobility and stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Attention to detail and accuracy in all assigned tasks.
