We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Lobby Lounge Bar and Marketplace Supervisor with luxury bar & elevated coffee and tea service knowledge to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team! Focusing on our new artisanal coffee shop, offering an elevated selection of grab&go products and our Lobby Bar. This high-volume environment requires a passion for coffee service, and bars. This popular space will combine an ability for barista skills paired with profound knowledge of bar products.

Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage and the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage - Restaurant and Bar Operations, this role will be responsible for leading the Restaurant operation (including Bar Operation of the outlet) with passion and creativity, ensuring exceptional five-star service. This individual will take the lead in project managing the opening. In doing so, this individual will lead the efforts in recruiting, menu creation, creation of service standards and style and implementation of training, processes, and standards for a successful opening. This role will require assisting other F&B Outlets as needed.

Responsibilities:
Supervising and mentoring baristas, bartenders, and support staff, ensuring they deliver impeccable service and adhere to resort standards.

Overseeing all aspects of lobby bar and marketplace operations, including staffing, inventory management, ordering, and stocking, to maintain high-quality service and uphold brand standards.

Verifying all grab&go product expiration dates and ensuring proper rotation of products.

Creating coffee art programming.

Collaborating with the culinary team to develop and update menu offerings, ensuring they reflect current trends and guest preferences.

Training and coaching staff on coffee preparation techniques, cocktail recipes, and customer service best practices to enhance guest satisfaction and drive revenue.

Monitoring beverage quality and presentation, providing feedback and guidance to ensure consistency and excellence in drink preparation.

Managing guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to exceed guest expectations and resolve issues to their satisfaction.

Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the lobby bar and coffee shop, including bar tops, equipment, and seating areas, in accordance with health and safety standards.

Assisting in developing and implementing standard operating procedures, service protocols, and training materials to maintain consistency and excellence in service.

Collaborating with other resort departments, such as food and beverage, culinary, and guest services, to enhance the overall guest experience and drive revenue opportunities.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a luxury hotel or resort lobby bar and/or coffee shop environment.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service.

Excellent knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, cocktail recipes, and beverage service standards.

Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, especially during busy service periods or high-profile events.

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Comprehensive knowledge of bar operations and expertise in a wide variety of liquors.

Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality management or related field is a plus.
