Job description

Summary

The time is right and we are looking for the next team member at _Back to Health - _a long-standing, highly-regarded outpatient practice in East Fort Lauderdale.

Our patients are nothing short of the best! Predominantly older adults, they are quick to embrace us as their "home away from home." The best physical therapist to help them is one with a robust grasp of rehab principles who has great energy and compassion.

Their quality of care is important to us, so this position offers the physical therapist true one-on-one patient responsibility. If you've been frustrated by one-size-fits-all standards of care and want to be able to focus on one patient at a time, this is a role you should consider.

Responsibilities
Conduct evaluations - Be both thorough and efficient, including appropriate tests and measurements
Create and execute _ individualized _ treatment plans - Cookie-Cutters-R-Not-Us; treatment plans should be designed for the patient's specific needs in order to restore and enhance their performance
Consider other variables - Ensure treatment reflects prescribed therapy and incorporate applicable reimbursement issues
Document - Maintain complete and timely documentation of services in the electronic medical record
Manage the relationship - With true one-on-one patient responsibility the buck stops here to ensure each patient enjoys a positive experience

We're looking for someone who is
Patient centric - The patient always comes first, and our many 5-star reviews give us proof that we practice what we preach.
Results oriented - You'll need to be able to think critically and problem-solve through all the variables of a patient's healthcare.
Tech savvy - We will provide the best technology; learning quickly how to maximize its capabilities will allow the most efficient use of everyone's time.
Positive - Nothing is perfect, and we're no exception! But in the midst of imperfection, we at least want our interactions to be positive - positive for our patients, the families of patients, each other, our partners and other gym members.
Detailed - Micromanaging is not our style, so you will be counted on to ensure all details are tended to correctly (the first time around).
An exceptional communicator - Someone who communicates proactively (not waiting to be asked), directly (is to the point) and with empathy (sensitive to individual style and circumstance) will be most comfortable on the team.

What you might like
Working with the best. You won't be alone. A team of highly experienced and skilled therapists, we learn from and brainstorm with each other regularly. Everyone brings something to the table.
Commitment to wellness. Our approach to treatment is built on a foundation of overall wellness. Therapists have in-house access to resources for patients such as therapeutic yoga classes, certified massage therapists and personal trainers.
Getting bonuses for Google reviews. Quality of care is paramount to us. To "put our money where our mouth is," we reward our therapists for every 5-star review we get.
Only you treat your patients. Unlike some practices, where you could be treating any active patient on any given day, we feel you will be able to get to know a patient's problems best by working closely and continuously with them.
Access to specialized equipment. With multiple pieces of MedX strengthening equipment, you'll be able to safely test and increase patients' strength, endurance, and range of motion.
