Job description

Overview:
Facilitates financial, clinical and decision support information in a team environment for the purpose of interpretation of key performance indicators, metrics, data points, and formulas to support management objectives. Analyzes and synthesizes data from multiple systems and databases to provide information for leaders to make informed sound business decisions. Communicates and explains complex data and information to leaders at all levels of the organization. Works with a wide customer base across all levels of leadership to improve operational efficiencies and resource allocations for improved revenue cycle performance for the UF Health System. Assists revenue cycle leaders to investigate and design strategic initiatives in order to improve revenue cycle statistics, reporting capabilities, and overall performance. Participates in initiatives to determine how processes can be aligned with best practices to achieve optimal results, measurable change, and a quantifiable, positive contribution.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in finance or Business-related field. Master degree preferred. Associate's degree and 3 years of experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree requirement. Minimum Job Experience: Two (2) years of health care data analysis experience with in-depth, hands-on knowledge of and experience with enterprise and desktop applications including Microsoft is required. SQL report writing capabilities and Business Objects and EPIC hospital information systems experience preferred. Must have strong interpersonal, facilitation, coordination and customer service skills. Must be able to demonstrate ability to apply analysis, definition and documentation for business, systems and data processes. Must have strong analytical skills and competence in problem definition and strategy development for resolution. Job Related, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong problem solving, quantitative, and analytical abilities Experience with large relational databases and data warehousing, including ability to query database using SQL or similar language Mastery of Business Intelligence report writing and visualization tools such as Epic Analytics, Business Objects (WebI), Power BI or similar report writing and visualization tools Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills, including complex functions, formulas, and formatting. Proven ability to work with and track large amounts of data (Millions of records) with accuracy. Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate information in an easy-to-understand format. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
