Provide overall coordination of transportation design-build project from design conception through final construction acceptance. Ensures construction plans, plats, and specifications conform to all applicable standards and requirements. Provide oversight and supervision over the technical work of the design team. Prepares and monitors project design budget and schedules. Coordinates project design with federal, state and local agencies, utility companies, regulatory/approval agencies, elected officials, and citizens to resolve project issues.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for coordinating every project design phase
Review drawings and designer submittals for accuracy
Interface with bidding and construction team and coordinate with construction approach
Ensures design meets project standards and agreed upon, specifications and timeframes, and permit and regulatory requirements
Provides technical engineering guidance and input on key projects throughout the conceptual, preliminary and final design and construction phases
Participates in meetings with owners, partners and subs
Reviews and supervises proposed revisions to technical design standards and ordinances
Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Maintains and manages Design Schedule and Budget

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Heavy Civil Construction background with 8+ years design experience
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done
Ability to function as a team builder/player
FDOT experience strongly preferred
