Overview:
NV5 is seeking a Licensed Florida Building Inspector who is ready to take their career to the next level in the exciting and challenging field of forensics structural assessments and inspections. As part of our Hollywood, FL office, you will benefit from a hybrid working environment- spending three days in the field and two days working from the office or home-providing both flexibility and hands-on experience in the field.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile restoration projects for both low-rise and high-rise structures in South Florida. You will collaborate with large clients, leveraging your technical expertise to ensure the integrity and safety of critical building components. From conducting detailed inspections to preparing comprehensive field reports, your work will directly impact the success of major restoration initiatives across the region.

Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed inspections and site observations for restoration work on structures across South Florida.
Review project plans and specifications to ensure compliance and quality.
Document site conditions and prepare daily field reports with thoroughness and accuracy.
Collaborate closely with your supervisor and designated NV5 engineers to ensure consistent communication and project alignment.
Inspect restoration work, including cast-in-place concrete, post-tension reinforcing, concrete masonry unit (CMU) construction, waterproofing systems, and other structural components.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in building inspections, specializing in new construction, forensic investigations, and/or concrete restoration services.
A Florida General Contractor (GC) license is highly desirable.
A degree in Engineering or Architecture is a strong advantage.
OSHA certification is a plus.
