Job description

Applied Memetics has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Senior Social Scientist with a strong background in project management, qualitative and quantitative research, survey design, data analysis, and open-source research. This is an onsite position in Homestead, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience in sampling theory, data visualization, and qualitative research methodologies, combined with the ability to translate complex client objectives into practical research solutions. An Active Secret Security Clearance is required. Responsibilities: o Conduct comprehensive assessments of operations in the information environment.
o Obtain and analyze open-source unclassified survey and assessment data from online sources, in-person surveys, and subscription data sources.
o Integrate open-source data with classified operational data, for assessments of operations activities and investments (OAIs). o Analyze survey and focus group data using accepted statistical practices.
o Utilize and manage access to commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software (e.g., SPSS, MS Excel) for data analysis dashboards and visualization tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI) to create detailed reports, presentations, analyses and visualizations related to client project data.
o Translate information into Spanish and English quickly and accurately, recognizing colloquial and idiomatic phrases. o Present findings in clear, concise reports and presentations with data visualizations that are easily understood by experts and non-experts alike. Qualifications: o Bachelor's Degree with minimum 8 years (or 6 years with Master's degree or 3 years with PhD) of experience in an operational environment directly involved in two or more of the following areas - Information Operations, intelligence, data science, social science or qualitative and quantitative surveys/polling. o Fluent English and Spanish speaker is required. Must be able to provide expert translation services in Spanish (minimum ILR/DLPT score of 2/2 in reading and writing). o Experience planning, managing and implementing a variety of qualitative and quantitative research and analysis projects involving content and thematic analysis, coding/categorization of textual data, and proficiency with software such as MAXQDA or NVivo.
o A robust understanding of research design, methodology, and statistical analysis, as well as experience with data management, data cleaning, data visualization, developing assessments, reports and making recommendations based on available data. o Experience in quantitative analysis, including statistical analysis, data visualization, and correlative analysis, with proficiency in software such as R, Python, MS Excel or SPSS. o Prior experience in a supervisory role o An active Secret Security Clearance is required
