Job description

Job Description Jefferson Consulting Group, is seeking a Course Design Instructor/SMEto support the U.S. Air Force 505th Command and Control Wing (CCW), Test and Training Group (TTG). This candidate will join the JAFQC Staff which provides advanced fires expertise across all military domains and Services in support of the Joint Warfighting Concept by training select graduates (O-3 / E-7 and above) of USAF Weapons School and other similar training programs. This course is taught at the TOP SECRET classification level with required access to Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI) and SAP/IJSTO. The Joint Advanced Fires Qualification Course (JAFQC) is a course for which the 705 TRS has been tasked initiate development in CY24 with first graduates in CY26. This task will involve course development in CY24, Beta execution and cadre development in CY25, and full execution in CY26 and beyond. The anticipated course schedule is two classes per year, roughly 16 weeks per class, producing 12-20 advanced fires integration specialists annually. Graduates will serve as the Joint Force Commander's (JFC) subject matter experts on the planning, integration, and execution of long-range advanced fires. This course will prepare students through in-depth immersion of advanced and highly classified fires capabilities from all warfighting domains provided by all DoD Services. The course will incorporate lesson materials, instruction (including TDYs), and scenarios from multiple advanced tactical training schoolhouses (C2WAC, USAFWS, NAWDC, MAWTS, etc.) to ensure they can provide in-depth expertise of long-range fires integration at the CCMD level. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited university or college.
Current Top Secret/SCI clearance
At least one year of experience within the past 5 years in an AFCHQ commensurate with that of an O-4 to O-6, and, preferably, served as either a Team/Branch Chief or higher.
Possess a minimum of 10 years of Department of Defense military experience. Must have demonstrated the ability to instruct in a military environment; it is preferred to have at least 1 year of platform instruction.
Demonstrated experience and personal expertise in multi-domain operations, joint planning, and the air tasking cycle.
Experience in one or more of the following: AOC strategy division, AOC combat plans division, AOC combat operations division, AOC intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance division, AFFOR staff (A2, A3, or A5), Non-kinetic Operations team.
Experience with operational-level air, or space, or cyber warfare, both generally and in specific functional and/or positional area
Ability to travel to various locations within and outside the continental United States (CONUS) in performance of the tasks. Preferred Experience: In addition to the instructor role, this candidate will also perform the duty of Course Manager. The Course Manager ensures successful execution of assigned course. Develops agenda for each class IAW approved course TTL and SOI. Schedules qualified instructors and SME guest speakers to support execution of each class. Plans specific fallback options for each class to address foreseeable execution issues such as speaker fallout and VTC failure. As scheduled, prepares and effectively delivers expert academic instruction for other identified courses.
Instructors are expected to maintain proficiency in their areas through professional reading, exercise participation, or other academic methods. Instructors are also expected to instruct in their area of expertise across the spectrum of classes taught in the TTG. Maintains awareness of emerging operational level C2 TTPs and recommends courseware updates when applicable.
Highly Desired Skills and Qualifications: Joint Qualified Officer (JQO) designation or assignments with extensive fires experience at the CCMD level.
Extensive experience with Target Systems Analysis and extensive experience with the planning of Special Access Programs (SAPs) for execution. Experience with Instructional Systems Design-based course development and Joint accreditation.
Personal experience training advanced audiences (e.g., USAFWS, NAWDC, MAWTS, C2WAC graduates).
