Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Development Engineer for a 12-month contract position with a medical device manufacturer located in Jacksonville, FL.

Onsite: Jacksonville, FL

Duration: 12 months

Pay Range: $34.20 - $36.20 hr.

This is a remediation integration project

Job Summary

Responsible for the design, development, and processing of implants and instruments under the direction of a project leader or manager. Good communication, teamwork and organizational skills are essential. An understanding of human physiology and joint mechanics is required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Designing for manufacturability, inspectability, and optimum cost

Supporting DHF remediation activities

Generating comprehensive protocols for testing/analyzing the product

Generating design assurance documentation for the project

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e. KSAs)

Familiarity with drafting standards and geometric differences and tolerancing

Understanding of DHF requirements

Ability to effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical project tasks with other functional groups

CAD modeling and drawing creation understanding

Establishing a process method which meets performance and quality requirements

Microsoft Office Suite and Project

Education/ Experience Requirements

B.S. degree from an ABET accredited school (or global equivalent) in an engineering or science discipline, as preferred by the specific department and 1 to 3 years of experience.
