Job description

Duties You will work with the Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) Office under the Manager and provide EKMS and communications/electronic quality assurance. You will develop utilization policies in support of crisis, contingency, wartime, and peacetime operations. You will assess impacts and make recommendations for the incorporation of new Communications Security (COMSEC) policies. You will provide EKMS policy, procedure, administrative, training, and technical support. You will review, assess, and report on all cryptographic and physical security issues and if insecurities are detected, recommend/institute corrective actions. You will coordinate issues pertaining to maintenance quality assurance for the maintenance, overhaul, or modification of communications/electronics equipment. You will serve has a technical adviser to top management, staff, operating officials, and supervisors on the principles and techniques for communications/electronic quality assurance. You will provide technical assistance in the fielding, implementation, and operation of EKMS suites and other secure voice/data products. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. This position may require frequent travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include hostile environments and remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to theGS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Comprehensive knowledge of DoD Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) policies and processes (EKMS Manual 1B); Effectively operate NSA Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) generating, distributing, and accounting for keying material and equipment; Author, maintain and execute local KMI orders and instructions; Manage command KMI program to include subaccounts per applicable NSA, DoD and USMC guidance. OR Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled. OR Successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled - Experience and education can be combined to equate to one year of qualifying experience. Percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.
