We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Superintendent with extensive experience in ground-up K-12 construction projects to join our team in Jupiter, FL. Description

  • Project Oversight: Manage all phases of ground-up K-12 construction projects, from site preparation through to final completion. Ensure adherence to educational building codes, project plans, and specifications.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of subcontractors, tradespeople, and site personnel. Build and maintain a cohesive team environment focused on achieving project goals.
  • Safety Management: Enforce rigorous safety protocols specific to K-12 construction environments. Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that construction work meets high standards of quality and adheres to the specific requirements for K-12 educational facilities. Address any issues promptly to maintain project integrity.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules tailored to the unique timelines of educational construction projects. Monitor progress and implement adjustments as needed to keep projects on track.
  • Budget Oversight: Oversee project budgets, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs. Manage resources efficiently and address any budgetary discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Communication: Act as the primary liaison between the project team, educational stakeholders, and clients. Provide regular updates on project status, addressing any concerns or changes with a focus on meeting educational facility requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, including work performed, materials used, and any incidents. Prepare and submit comprehensive reports as required.
  • Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve issues that arise during the construction process, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and maintaining the focus on educational facility standards.

Profile

  • Experience: Minimum of 25 years of experience as a Superintendent with a focus on ground-up K-12 construction projects or similar educational facility projects.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards specific to educational facilities. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30-hour or similar safety training preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
