Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain professional to join our Customer Care team at JBT. The Supply Chain Analyst and Planner is responsible for optimizing the supply chain operations of the organization. This role involves creating reports and analyzing data, forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring the timely delivery of products. This role will also entail managing pricing trends and inflationary measures to ensure proper margins and pricing. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain processes, and the ability to drive improvements in efficiency and cost-effectiveness across multiple sites. This role requires a strong analytics background with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, as well as a customer-centric approach.
The Opportunity :
Responsibilities: As a Supply Chain Analyst and Planner, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Supply Chain Data Analytics:
Inventory analytics: Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock analyses, and ensure optimal inventory turnover to minimize holding costs and stockouts. Creating demand forecasting models to ensure on time delivery of our customer orders.
Margin Management: Inflation and pricing anomaly identification through data analysis. Monthly quartile analysis and recommendations. Analyze market conditions, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to develop competitive pricing strategies. Utilize pricing models and tools to simulate different pricing scenarios and assess their impact on profitability and market share.
Customer Trend analysis: Identifying declining sales and report to sales/supply chain for action. Identify customer opportunities based on buying patterns.
Managing Supply Chain metrics across NA (in BU's) for leadership action
Overall supply chain analytics, coordinating with regions to deliver consistent reporting to drive business results.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the supply chain and pricing strategies.
Spare Parts and Inventory Management:
Develop and implement strategies to optimize spare parts inventory levels and ensure availability for customer orders.
9Block and Quad analysis across all BU's. Making adjustments quarterly as opportunities are identified.
Coordinate with the Customer Care team to understand customer needs and prioritize spare parts orders accordingly.
Monitor and analyze spare parts usage and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Supports sales initiatives focused on spare parts
Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels across all locations.
Implement inventory control processes to minimize waste, reduce costs, and avoid stockouts.
Demand Forecasting:
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to develop accurate demand forecasts.
Manage inventory and demand based on sales/marketing programs through out the year and ad hoc.
Utilize statistical methods and tools to predict future product demand.
Adjust forecasts based on market trends, seasonality, and promotional activities.
Supplier Coordination:
Monitor key vendor metrics and vendor performance indicators.
Monitor business purchasing metrics and performance across the businesses to meet our on-time delivery performance goals.
Coordinate directly with BU purchasing teams to ensure all key metrics are aligned with customer deliverables.
Identify and communicate supply chain disruptions to ensure continuous supply.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for process optimization within the supply chain.
Lead initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.
Implement best practices and stay updated with industry trends and innovations.
Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays.
Continuously improve distribution processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Involvement in ongoing continuous improvement activities and projects.
Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance or a related field.
3+ year's experience in supply chain analysis, planning or related role interpreting complex data sets and making business decisions.
Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
Excellent in cross-functional collaboration and team management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems, analytics tools, and other relevant software.
