The hospital also offers world-class orthopedics, minimally invasive robotic-assisted surgery, lifesaving emergency care, stroke treatment, labor delivery, and so much more.The Laboratory Department Shift Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day department operation of the laboratory for their assigned shift coverage. This position requires an individual who is highly skilled in all clinical areas as it relates to Laboratory results. This individual helps maintain excellent rapport among Laboratory, Physicians, Nursing Staff and other Hospital Departments. This individual works closely with the Laboratory Director to maintain policy, procedures and day-to-day operations of the specific Department and Alliance Laboratories.This position requires you to be able to work 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
• Associate degree (Required)
• Certificate training program at an approved school for Medical Technician level training leading to state licensureLicensure/Certification/Registration
  • State of Florida Supervisor (SU)
  • Training: ASCP MT or equivalent; LIS Training and or experienceSpecial Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required
    • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
    • Previous laboratory experience preferred
    • This position will be required to work every other Sunday and Saturday rotation
