Job Title: Specialist, Production Planning (Malabar, FL) (1st Shift) Job Code: 13646 Job Location: Malabar, FL Job Description: Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors products through the complete production cycle to meet delivery requirements. Advise management of the status of work in progress, coordinates with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain and interfaces with engineering and program management as well as external customers.
Ensures availability of materials and labor to meet production requirements and delivery commitments.

Essential Functions: Lead the development and optimization of production schedules to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs.
Oversee the coordination of production activities across multiple departments and facilities, ensuring seamless workflow and resource utilization.
Analyze and interpret complex data to forecast demand, identify potential bottlenecks, and recommend strategic solutions to optimize production processes.
Collaborate with senior management to align production planning strategies with overall business objectives and goals.
Implement advanced production planning techniques, such as lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, or advanced scheduling algorithms, to improve operational performance.
Mentor and coach junior production planners, providing guidance on best practices, problem solving techniques, and professional development opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production planning systems, processes, and capabilities.
Act as a liaison between production, supply chain, and other departments to facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration.
Represent the production planning team in meetings with management, presenting analysis findings, progress updates, and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and a minimum 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills: Lean Manufacturing (or Six Sigma) experience
Strong knowledge of Planning typically obtained through education combined with experience.
Must have a strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and experience with material requisitioning, purchasing, stocking, and inventory control.
Capable of generating complex spreadsheets and reports Working knowledge of Control, Cognos and Kinaxis
Strong working Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups)
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
Strong time-management and organizational skills. Deadline driven.
Knowledge and application of Lean tools and principles
Ability to apply capacity planning concepts & prioritize work assignments for operators

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
IPC-A-610 certification or equivalent quality background
Previous experience in Aerospace Technology
MES and MRP experience Knowledge of Kinaxis and Power BI Tools
