Job description
Overview:
The Project Controls Cost Analyst II is responsible for all project cost control activities in support of architecture and engineering design, and operations. Project controls provides the tools and systems necessary to manage effectively and proactively, control, and report on cost and schedule for concurrent projects throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides project control support to BRPH's Business unit leaders and project manager group for assigned projects utilizing strong costing, planning, and scheduling skills, along with excellent communication skills to support BRPH's project operational and financial goals.
Track and analyze project costs including budgets, commitments, actuals, accruals, and forecasts.
Investigates causes of variances between estimated, committed, and actual amounts and recommends solutions or recovery plans.
Tracks all changes or potential changes to the project scope, ensuring estimates of cost changes and schedule impact are given visibility with project management.
Assists in the development and maintenance of work breakdown structures (WBS) and helps to insure the effective use of project coding and correct project task and cost allocation .
Provide project analysis using earned value methodologies on designated projects.
Ability to develop and provide training within the operations organization.
Develops familiarity with industry contracting.
Measures progress and reviews performance trends for management reporting.
Understands and applies knowledge of project revenue and cost.
Possesses strong computer skills with a developing knowledge of Deltek VantagePoint.
May also be involved in change control management, and critical path method network analysis.
Ensure compliance with company policies & procedures, as necessary

Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, engineering, construction, business, or a related field from an accredited university with minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or Associates degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
