In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Accounts Receivable process, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will work closely with various departments, including sales and customer service, to resolve any billing discrepancies and improve cash flow. Your analytical skills will be paramount in identifying trends in collections and recommending process improvements to streamline operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively. As the Accounts Receivables Manager, you will be in charge of developing and implementing policies and procedures that enhance the efficiency of the accounts receivable function. You will also play an integral role in financial reporting, preparing weekly and monthly reports that provide insights into the company's cash flow positions. Responsibilities:
You will:
Lead the accounts receivable team along with accounting process and systems.
Monitor processing of invoices, records of invoices, bills and deposits.
Ensure timely collection of payments and negotiates with clients in non-payment cases.
Conduct credit checks.
Stay updated on industry and legislative changes.
Create new customers, establish credit limits and maintain sales tax exemption certificates.
Identify opportunities and implementing corrective and preventive action.
Prepare monthly reconciliations following GAAP.
Qualifications:
You have:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
3-5 years of prior advanced accounting experience.
1-2 years of prior leadership experience.
Accounting experience within distribution preferred.
Demonstrates proficient use of Microsoft Office and software programs.
