Job description

Overview:
The CTR Analyst II assists with all necessary requirements to achieve and maintain a satisfactory level of BSA compliance as it relates to CTR filing.

Responsibilities:
Reviews information for conductors, beneficiaries, and affected accounts to make sure the information is correct, and that the transaction conducted warrants a CTR report to be filed. Corrects, completes, and finalizes the CTR for further filing to FinCEN with the banks CTR System. Prepares the daily verification of CTR information to submit through the Vertex system. Monitors cash transactions for unusual activity and submits CARF to BSA when necessary. Analyzes and investigates CTR reports; recommends a course of action to Regulatory Risk management based on an analysis of the findings. Also performs an analysis to identify customers for potential CTR exemption and validates eligibility via an account activity review in compliance with FinCEN requirements. Continues to monitor the activity of CTR exempt customers on an annual basis to recertify CTR exemption eligibility. This position is a point of contact and provides support to all branches on any CTR request.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Finance and a minimum of three (3) to four (4) years of BSA/AML or CTR experience in the banking industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to understand and implement job-related policies and procedures.

Must possess strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, time management, written and verbal communication skills.

Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

CTR and BSA course training required.

Knowledge and understanding of CTR filing systems preferred.

Computer proficient in MS Office Software (e.g. Excel, Word and Outlook).

Knowledge of banking laws and regulations and the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act required.
