HVAC Operations & Maintenance Specialist

What you will do:

We are looking for a skilled specialist who has worked in commercial, industrial, and/or institutional markets to join our team. The specialist must be a skilled commercial/industrial level trades person and with a minimum of five (5) years actual, practical working experience in the HVAC, plumbing, mechanical equipment, electrical service industry. You may be required to pass a satisfactory examination as to your special skills set.

Responsibilities May include, but is not limited to the following :

" Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in accordance with building codes and manufacturer specifications.

" Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.

" Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

" Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools.

" Conduct performance tests and adjustments on HVAC systems to meet specified requirements.

" Perform a variety of maintenance tasks involving repairs and alterations of walls, partitions, repairing of doors and door hardware, tables, shelves, and other furniture and fixtures.

" Ability to maintain an inventory of parts, supplies and equipment and submit order requisitions to replenish and/or purchase new parts, supplies and equipment as needed.

" Ability to answer and address emergency calls at any time and take appropriate actions to protect and preserve property

" Maintain grounds and landscape using typical hand and power equipment including picking up litter and watering as needed

" Meet with City/State inspectors & assist with access related to facility inspections and inspections of assets.

" Maintain tools and equipment to ensure availability of those items in safe operating condition

" Ability to coordinate with administration, building occupants and other trades for the purpose of completing repair projects and work orders efficiently. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and work performed.

" Collaborate with other team members and contractors to ensure timely completion of projects.

" Stay updated on industry advancements, regulations, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.

" Adhere to safety protocols and company policies and procedures at all times.

" Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns and resolving issues professionally.

" Ability to move about in an office, open space or on uneven surfaces

" Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

" Ability to bend and twist, stoop, and kneel, crawl, climb, balance

" Ability to lift 75 pounds (team lifting when weight exceeds 75 pounds)

" Ability to carry 40 pounds

" Ability to use manual and power equipment common in the construction trades

" Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand

" This position involves exposure to outside weather conditions as well as a variety of inside environments that may be under repair/construction.

" All essential functions and physical requirements is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary in accordance with the requirements of the job.

Requirements:

" High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree preferred.

" Completion of specialized training in one or more of the building maintenance or construction trades (e.g., plumbing, HVAC, electrical) is required, Journeyman trade license preferred.

" Proven 5 or more years of commercial experience as an HVAC Mechanical Journeymen or in a similar role with a strong knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

" Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, building plans/drawings, and schematics.

" Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

" Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.

" Effective communication both in writing and verbally, and interpersonal skills.

" Ability to comprehend and communicate in Spanish.

" Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

" Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

" Flexibility to work on-call or during emergencies, as required.

" Ability to interact with the public tactfully and appropriately.

" Knowledge and proficient use of computers, computerized equipment and various software
