Job Description Software Development Manager Job Description Summary: Work Location: Onsite - Doral, FL (No telecommuting option) Clearance: Top Secret (SCI eligible) GDIT provides enterprise-wide IT services supporting US Southern Command's (SOUTHCOM) mission-critical operations throughout their Area of Responsibility (AOR), which consists of Central America, South America, and select countries in the Caribbean. GDIT SOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) is working to deliver and operationalize information technology (IT) services for all US SOUTHCOM combatant command constructed networks. These constructed networks span the US SOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). Work performed under this Task Order directly provides US SOUTHCOM a defensible, secure, modern, and efficient IT infrastructure across all combatant command-constructed networks. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Experience being self-directed and responsible for deliverables
Familiar with Agile methodologies
Experience building Software engineering teams, providing mentoring and professional direction for project-related tasks.
5+ years of demonstrated ability as a Software Engineering Leader.
7+ Years experience as a Software Engineer.
Solid foundation in engineering methodologies and best practices.
Solid foundation in ServiceNow and MS356 Power platform Firm understanding of using automates testing for software applications. Prior experience delivering Power-BI, Microsoft Dynamics, and .Net user-facing applications and experienced all phases of development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills working in a collaborative environment
Ability to build, lead, mentor, and lead multiple teams of Software engineers.
Able to work collaboratively with engineering partners.
Passion for making and playing games.
Enthusiastic, positive, and team-oriented; must be able to interact and collaborate with all departments and teams.
Self-sufficient and self-motivated; can perform duties with little oversight. Education Required: BA/BS with 10+ years of experience, or MS with 5+ years of experience. Certification(s) Required: DoD 8570 compliant: IAT Level II or III Baseline Certification. Computing Environment (CE) Certificate. More Details: Certification(s) Desired: IAM Level II or III Baseline Certification (CISSP, CISM, Security+). IT Service Management Certification (ITIL v4). Clearance Required: Interim SECRET clearance to start, ability to obtain and maintain TOP SECRET clearance and SCI access. Travel Requirements: Up to 10% travel is required. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
