Overview:
Archer Western, a member of The Walsh Group, is currently seeking a Surveyor Coordinator for our Miami Signature Bridge project located in Miami, FL.
Supervise construction survey crew responsible for providing horizontal & vertical control, derived from contract plans & documents, to field production operations.

Responsibilities:
Provide efficient & effective construction survey layout and information in a safe and timely manner than facilitates production operations, schedules, and budgets.
Supervise and mentor survey crew in daily layout operations and interactions with production, this includes checking, directing, and scheduling. Discuss daily/hourly work zone hazards, review and answer safety questions and concerns, seek remedy to safety issues that impact survey.
Maintain a current and functional knowledge of Trimble Software survey and GPS instruments and machine control setup.
Assist production operations in setup, usage, and maintenance of instrument use in their operations.
Rectify differences and discrepancies between supplied survey data, field conditions and production operations.
Receive support and daily direction for the survey operations derived from requests developed by production operations. Support and resolution for safety questions and concerns encountered in survey duties that aren't handled at the field production level.
Obtain overall data and modeling input for requested survey duties by production operations.
Measure, compute, and track items for both production and payment tracking.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Minimum 3 years field experience in survey & construction surveying applications as a responsible party
Knowledge of general construction practices and procedures
Experience in general survey instrument operation and survey practices and procedures
Must be able to work at heights: may be required to work on but not limited too bridge beams, bridge columns, bridge decks, shoring towers, retaining walls and manlifts.
Knowledge of Trimble Construction Survey software, instruments, controllers, GPS Rovers, and machine control.
Basic knowledge of plan reading, math, and geometry
Good interpersonal and communication skills
