Charles Schwab Investment Management (CSIM) is the asset management arm of the Charles Schwab Corporation, and has over $320 billion under management in mutual funds, ETFs and SMA's. Products managed include a wide variety of active and indexed equity, fixed income, and asset allocation strategies, as well as money markets funds. CSIM uses a consistent and disciplined approach to investing across all our products and seeks to develop innovative new products to meet the core investing needs of our clients.
We are looking for people with a passion for helping clients. The successful Specialist in Client Service will serve as a vital member of the Client Services team, serving clients and advisors. Through experience, investment knowledge, and professional development, the entire team strives to provide our clients with a great advisory relationship experience.
What you are good at
- Provide support to the Client Service Mangers (CSMs) on a wide variety of tasks
- Assist with opening and closing client accounts
- Process deposits and withdrawals for clients
- Preparation of client documents for signature
- Assist in the quarter-end reporting
- Assist with mailing multiple distributions to clients
- Liaison with operations and trading to effectively disseminate information
- Collaborate on various CS department projects
- Assist with generating reports as requested by other CSIM departments and clients
- Account maintenance - daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks
- Perform database updates, as necessary
- Collaborate in working groups, to better enhance workflows and processes
- Provide outstanding client service while demonstrating empathy and problem-solving skills

The candidate must have very strong communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, a positive attitude, self-initiator, professionalism, incredible follow-through, a great work ethic and the ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize with ease.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for service and finance with the ability to provide a superior level of service
- Aptitude for complex problem solving
- Working experience with Schwab systems, processes and procedures
- Good analytical skills with a superior level of attention to detail in order to adhere to policies, procedures and guidelines
- Collaborative and relational work style with proven success in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A savvy user of Salesforce (or other CRM system), Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook
- Desire for growth opportunities and ongoing training
Preferred Qualifications
- Portfolio accounting software knowledge preferred
- College degree - BA/BS preferred
- Series 65/7 is not required
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
