Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule Grade: 211 Salary: $52,418 - $85,894 Annually (Dependent on Qualifications) Department: Development Services E-mail: ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed. Who May Apply? All persons legally authorized to work in the United States Responsibilities Operate as lead planner by providing land planning, zoning and platting expertise. Work directly with other consultants, engineers and stake holders to manage the platting process and schedules. Provide customer service by responding to inquiries pertaining to platting, zoning and various related development issues. Review and process zoning request and subdivision applications. Provide and review amendments to the Unified Development Code. Assist staff with platting and zoning research, reviews, waiver request, platting related agreements and reports. Present platting/subdivision applications, zoning cases and zoning text amendments to the Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustments and Landmark Commission. Assist with special projects as needed and may be asked to perform other duties as assigned. Require good organizational and multi-tasking skills. Position will require supervisory responsibilities. Provide supervision, training, and timely work evaluations for assigned staff and the ability to work with a team. Qualifications Requires a Bachelor's Degree Minimum of four (4) years of related experience A combination of education and pertinent experience will be considered American Institute of Certified Planner is preferred A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire Other Information: Benefits The City offers an excellent benefit package that includes: Texas Municipal Retirement System - the City offers a 2 to 1 match.
