Senior Transportation Planner Project Manager

AECOM is offering an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Transportation Planner Project Manager to provide in-house consulting services with Florida's Turnpike Enterprise. As a prominent toll agency the Florida Department of Transportation, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise oversees over 500 miles of limited access roadways across Florida.

As a senior transportation planner project manager, you will be expected to execute project management assignments largely with independence, using judgment in making appropriate adaptations and modifications. The candidate may also be required to carry out complex or novel assignments or research requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures. Strong written and oral communication skills are required to successfully interact with clients, other consultants, and AECOM staff within the Turnpike's Intermodal Systems Development group and to produce top-quality documentation of transportation project studies. Plus strong organizational skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong sense of closure to see all assignments through to completion on-schedule, with an understanding of the unique requirements of transportation planning for the toll industry preferred.

Join Our Team and Make a Difference in Transportation Planning!

Develop work scopes, schedules, and budgets for exciting transportation planning projects.

Oversee contributions from specialists in traffic engineering, travel demand modeling, GIS, financial analysis, and more.

Prepare essential project documents, including Technical Memoranda, Feasibility Reports, and Traffic and Revenue Studies.

Conduct planning analysis of current and future land use, utilizing GIS to understand development patterns and forecasts.

Lead briefings to share transportation project results with clients, stakeholders, and interested parties.

Regularly summarize project progress in clear, concise reports.

Direct field data acquisition, site investigations, and surveys.

Assess transportation systems, roadway levels of service, and forecast future transportation needs.

Define, research, and report on regional and local transportation planning issues and priorities.

Lead and support public meetings or hearings to explain projects, gather feedback, and build consensus.

Evaluate the transportation-related impacts of federal and state legislative proposals and conduct policy analysis.

In this pivotal role, you will join a dynamic team engaged in a diverse array of high-profile transportation projects. You will have the opportunity to introduce innovative ideas, influence strategic plans and processes, and lead the forefront of transportation planning and design in Florida. You will be a key member of the Turnpike's Intermodal Systems Development group, responsible for a variety of planning projects and studies.
