Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY

The Technical Lead, Application Delivery & Strategy will be responsible for driving initiatives, providing leadership and oversight of technical deliverables across The Kessler Collection strategic business units for projects that span internal development teams and 3rd party vendors. This role requires strong experience with managing the delivery of technical implementation with the ability to establish expectations around timelines, level-set on risks, and resolve blockers. The Technical Lead will oversee the day-to-day technical deliverables of the project and communicate status with other teams and senior leaders. This role partners with various technology groups and ensures the Application Delivery and PMO methodologies are appropriately followed. The Technical Lead will also work with senior leaders across The Kessler Collection to ensure a seamless transition of the 3rd Party solutions from delivery through sustainment.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for supporting all stages of the project life cycle from initiation, scoping, project staffing, project implementation, and transition to sustainment.

Provide indirect leadership to a cross functional team of Architects, Product Owners, Software Developers, and Quality Engineers, both employee and contractor, in the delivery of projects small, medium, or large in conjunction with the Project Management Office.

Develop and maintain a positive relationship with client groups, project management, and other team members, by employing effective communication skills and building strong working relationships.

Assist with vendor selection and management including technical oversight of drafting SOW's, RFP's, vendor evaluation, budgeting, monitoring progress through to implementation.

Communicate time estimates on level of work to support projects and meet schedules and timelines as agreed to. Ensure that the program delivery is timely, successful, and meets or exceeds the client group's expectations.

Understand and actively participate in Environment, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policies, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

Ensure Property Management Systems (PMS) Oracle-Opera (on-premise and cloud version) but not limited to Oracle products are deployed, implemented and maintained as per the required standards.

Integrations to the PMS systems with vendors (not limited to) of the IP-Pabx, POS, back financials, Wifi systems, access-controls, valet parking, call accounting etc. are maintained and seamless flow of data is ensured in a bi-directional manner.

Connectivity to PMS systems are ensured and secured through the best possible secured technologies and no exceptions to the rules are applied.

Project management and planning for any enhancements, amendments, version rollouts need to be taken into consideration.

Any new versions or patches need to be tested out in the test or development environments before rolling out to the production environment.

Conduct audits on the applications and systems installed at the properties of the organization and identity commonalities and synergies which can be leveraged in terms of pricing, service level agreements and best practices.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Develop and maintain partnerships with key vendors and ensure that all technology and services roadmaps are understood and leveraged where appropriate.

Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

To perform this role successfully, an individual must have experience achieving desired result(s) in their areas of responsibility. The requirements listed below are representative of observable behaviors and essential knowledge, skill, and abilities required of a successful incumbent.

Experience in Oracle-Opera, POS - Infogenesis, TMS-Tiger, Unifi - wifi and switches, O365, Microsoft technologies, Access Control systems and working knowledge of MS-SQL.

Experience in Hotel Information Systems, i.e., CRS (Central Reservation Systems), Facilities Management System, Valet Parking and other applicable technologies used in the hospitality industry.

Experience with software and hardware management of Point-of-Sale Systems for Merchandise/Food & Beverage.

Prior experience leading software and hardware application delivery teams & 3rd party vendor projects, strategic planning and resource management, and implementation and delivery of large-scale applications.

Proven successful experience with end-user community administration and management for a wide range of IT solutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, License, Certifications, Experience

Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Computer Science or Technology is desirable.

6+ years' experience managing the delivery of technical solutions.

6+ years' experience in a large Information Technology or property operations with proven experience partnering with client and end-user groups in support of managing complex, multi-year and multi-location projects and programs.

Equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience.

Must be comfortable working in a shared space.

Working on-site at least 4 days of the work week to ensure personal presence at the property is preferred.

Must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism & collaboration.

Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands.

Requires travel up to 60% of the time, as business needs dictate.
