We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director Systems Engineering - Solution Manager, for one of our premier programs on our Aurora, Colorado campus.
As the Associate Director Systems Engineering - Solution Manager you will lead a large team of 100+ employees distributed across multiple locations. In this role you will manage cost & schedule with an expected budget exceeding $50M+. You will work closely with the customer to shape the scope, CONOPS, and perform cost estimation of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
Additionally, in this role you will be responsible for the mission cost, schedule, and technical performance baseline as well as ensuring the mission requirements come together technically for each delivery. You will work directly with Program leadership, Systems and Software Teams and other Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTL's) and external stakeholders to execute a multi-million dollar sub-contract.
What You Will Do
- Oversee and provide direction to the Mission Team consisting of 100+ individuals
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on scope definition and cost estimation
- Prepare and present technical briefs to internal and external stakeholders
- Identify technical issues impacting the mission and collaborate with others to drive solutions to closure
- Work in an Agile program environment
- Work in a classified lab on site in Aurora, Colorado
Qualifications You Must Have
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Engineering, or related Technical field with a minimum 12+ years' relevant or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
- Active and transferable Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Previous experience with ground based satellite mission management and command and control
- Previous experience leading Agile/DevSecOps teams
- Experience leading Engineering Teams on Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Programs
- Experience driving cost, schedule, and technical performance
- Experience providing technical Systems Engineering plan
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with any of the following: Cloud technologies and migration to the Cloud, Containerization and databases, Automation (Build, Deploy, Test), Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.), and/or Evaluation of COTS/FOSS
- Experience leading large (100 ppl+) Engineering Teams on Defense and/or Intelligence Programs
- Software Engineering Experience, developing, testing, and integrating code
- GEOINT CONOPS development from a ground segment perspective
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities as well as demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with management and individual contributors
- Experience ensuring consistency across an integrated product team
- Experience leading large (50 ppl+) Engineering Teams on Defense and/or Intelligence Programs
