The Opportunity

AdventHealth seeks a collaborative and visionary physician-scientist to serve as Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) of the AdventHealth Central Florida Division. The CSO will work with senior leadership to develop the vision and strategic agenda for research, embed research in graduate medical education programs, and guide efforts that advance the mission of care.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be an innovative research leader driven by the mission of providing whole-person care. Experience leading an externally funded program with a sustained history of support from NIH, industry, or foundations is required. Ideally, the candidate will have research credibility in oncology, neuroscience, cardiovascular/thoracic, transplant, and/or health outcomes.

The Organization

AdventHealth's Central Florida Division conducts ongoing health care research studies aimed at discovering new treatments, diagnostic methods, and preventive care. The CSO will drive research strategy for the division, which consists of 200 active principal investigators across 11 therapeutically aligned teams.
