Overview of the Cost Accountant Role:

As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Managing cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels.
• Overseeing month-end close processes, including:
  • Tracking materials and labor costs.
  • Identifying and analyzing variances.
  • Processing journal entries for accurate financial reporting.
• Supporting the team in monitoring production costs and maintaining cost control.
• Collaborating with the finance team to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications for the Cost Accountant:

• 5+ years of experience as a Cost Accountant in a similar industry.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, especially in manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with financial reporting systems such as:
  • QAD
  • Sage
  • JD Edwards
  • Fortress
• Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Manufacturing industries is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
