Additional Information

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver with expertise in drop and hook operations, stacking chassis, and securing reefer trailers and dry vans using chains and binders. As an integral member of our transportation team, the OTR Driver will be responsible for transporting goods over long distances, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform drop and hook operations efficiently and safely at designated locations.

2. Secure Stacked chassis according to company guidelines and industry best practices.

3. Secure reefer trailers and dry vans using load bars to prevent shifting during transit.

4. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness.

5. Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies while on the road.

6. Maintain accurate records of driving activities, including logs of working hours and vehicle maintenance.

7. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that may arise.

8. Uphold a professional and customer-focused demeanor at all times when interacting with clients and the public.

9. Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.

10. Keep abreast of changes in regulations and industry standards related to driving and transportation.


Qualifications:

1. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.

2. Proven experience as an OTR Driver, with a focus on drop and hook operations.

3. Ability to secure stack chassis using chains, binders and ratchet straps (depending on load).

4. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.

5. Excellent driving skills and a commitment to safe and responsible driving practices.

6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

8. Physical agility and stamina to handle loading and unloading tasks.

9. High school diploma or equivalent.

10. Willingness to travel long distances and work flexible hours.
