Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Analyst:

As a Payroll Analyst, you will manage payroll operations efficiently and accurately. You will:

  • Process weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring timely, compliant, and precise execution.
  • Verify and reconcile payroll data, such as attendance records, bonuses, and additional payroll-related information.
  • Calculate and process statutory deductions, including taxes, social security, and other benefits contributions.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure accurate payroll data for new hires, terminations, promotions, and compensation changes.
  • Addresses and resolves payroll discrepancies, working closely with the operations team and other departments.
  • Stay informed on federal, state, and local payroll regulations to maintain compliance and accurate tax reporting.
  • Generate payroll reports for management, including payroll summaries and tax reconciliations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries about payroll matters, offering excellent customer service and support.
  • Assist in preparing year-end reports, such as W-2 forms and other necessary documentation.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance payroll system efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Analyst:

  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail-critical for any Payroll Analyst.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet payroll deadlines.
  • Practical written and verbal communication skills are essential for the Payroll Analyst role.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with the highest level of discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with payroll software such as ADP or Paychex.
  • Experience with Great Plains or Sage Accounting software is a plus.
