Job description

The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for managing and directing the project team by providing the communication, coordination and follow-up necessary to deliver a project on time and budget.

Client Details

Our client is a General Contractor with a strong track record throughout Florida building a variety of Commercial and Institutional projects.

Description

  • Prepare and manage project schedule and identify risks
  • Assist with preconstruction and estimating throughout project
  • Implement and maintain budget and schedule controls.
  • The Project Manager will report significant issues in a timely manner to the Project Executive and will prepare Monthly Progress Reports in accordance with contract documents.
  • Participate in reviewing and evaluating documentation related to the planning, site investigation, design, construction, and contract administration.
  • Identifies and secures necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget and/or schedule.
  • Attend project-related meetings, capture minutes, and record issues.
  • Typically will be on-site in a job trailer for projects.

Profile

  • Successful track record as a Project Manager with Commercial Construction projects
  • Managed projects that are $10,000,000 and above
  • Municipal or Government projects (PREFERRED)
  • Ground up construction experience (REQUIRED)
  • Experience with CM-at-Risk (CMAR) or GMP (PREFERRED)
  • Florida project experience (REQUIRED)
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or similar
  • Experience with Ground Up and Renovation projects preferred
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to read, interpret and develop statistical reports
  • Must be able to read and interpret building and site plans and specifications.
  • Must be able to prepare cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Proficient with CMiC, Procore or similar software
