Overview:
Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior MEP Practice Builder with a strong healthcare focus to expand our MEP practice in Florida!

Responsibilities:
Project Management role is in conjunction with lead engineer responsibilities.

Requires the ability to oversee the MEP design of projects from concept to completion, including continuous interface with the design team and clients.

Proven design experience with comfort and MEP systems and related controls

Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability

Write responses to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications for various clients and marketing opportunities

Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team

Mentor and coordinate the work of designers and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects

Manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance

Strong desire to grow and lead a MEP practice

Our Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor

The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business

Qualifications:
15+ years of related experience

Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license

Proven design experience with comfort and MEP systems and related controls

Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas

Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24

Experience mentoring and coordinating the work of EITs, designers, and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects

Able to manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance

Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is a plus

Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability

Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team
