Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off Job Description: The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris is seeking a highly motivated and driven Program Manager to direct daily tasks and ongoing administrative functions supporting the Coleman Aerospace Orlando, FL site. The Program Manager has responsibility for cost, schedule, and technical performance achieved on designated program. This role is responsible for accomplishing program objectives by supporting the planning and assisting with the evaluation of program activities such as schedule review, production hardware tracking, program financial performance, coordination of resources, and customer interface under minimal supervision. Essential Functions: Under minimal direction, manage and direct assigned programs, which includes defining and understanding program scope, managing overall schedules and budget in accordance with applicable contractual and L3Harris policies.
Drive integrated program teams toward success in meeting objectives and contractual requirements. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, production, and administrative areas.
Monitor and report status on cost, schedule and deliveries using program management methodology and tools.
Develop and implement plans for follow-on production programs including proposal development, submittal, negotiation, and definitization.
Participates in the forecast of awards/margins and sales/profit for assigned programs as part of the L3Harris business planning cycle.
Identify risks/issues impacting program performance and lead efforts to resolve them to closure.
Provide concise reports to management on status, potential issues, risks, and solution recommendations.
Provide the primary L3Harris interface with the customer and manage external relationships.
Up to 10% business travel to other L3Harris and customer sites. Ability to obtain US Secret Security Clearance. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant program management experience, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of related program management experience, or 10 years of prior related program management experience in lieu of a degree. Preferred Additional Skills: Master's degree in an appropriate discipline.
Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
Earned Value Management experience.
Risk Management experience.
Extensive knowledge of financial management and business development practices.
