Job Description:

As a Technical Project Manager, you will provide leadership and direction for medium to large internal IT and business projects. This role requires a strong background in project management, team development, and a deep understanding of various systems development life cycles, including Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative methodologies. You will be responsible for the overall execution, control, and completion of projects, ensuring alignment with company strategy and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage multiple medium to large IT or business projects, overseeing financial, scope, schedule, and risk management.

Develop and execute project work plans, adjusting as necessary to meet changing needs and project objectives.

Direct and coordinate project teams, ensuring all phases of projects are completed on time and within budget.

Collaborate with resource managers to identify and assemble the necessary skills and resources for project completion.

Manage issues, risks, and changes using established Project Management Office (PMO) processes and tools.

Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying critical paths and enforcing scheduling standards.

Monitor and report on project financials, schedules, and resource utilization, making informed decisions based on revenue models and cost projections.

Facilitate project reviews, audits, status reports, and executive review meetings.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet functional and quality specifications.

Manage capital budget expenditures, ensuring alignment with project forecasts and actuals.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.

Project Management certification or equivalent training.

7+ years of experience in information technology with a broad understanding of various technologies, including applications, databases, networking, and telecommunications.

5+ years of experience in a Project Management role, with a proven track record of team development.

Extensive experience leading small to medium-scale application development or infrastructure deployment projects.

Strong knowledge of multiple systems development life cycles, such as Iterative, Agile, and Waterfall.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Basic familiarity with Clarity or other portfolio/program management software.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to deliver complex projects successfully.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
