Job description
Duties You will provide Operating Materials and Supplies Warehouse Onsite Support to the Naval Sea Logistics Center. You will assist the Warehouse On-Site Lead with Operating Materials and Supplies program management. You will perform warehouse management and administrative functions to facilitate logistics support. You will conduct daily warehouse inventory management operations. You will apply and establish warehouse management methods, procedures, and business practices to locate, organize, and move assets. You will assure and report on visibility and accountability of assets and compliance with governing policy. You will execute day-to-day warehouse operations. You will serve as technical support for Operating Materials and Supplies warehouse management processes and operations and Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) warehouse management functionality. You will address and resolve warehouse management and logistical support procedural, technical, and automation issues that arise. You will participate in policy and procedural studies and analysis. You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. You will be required to possess a current valid United States driver license. Must be able to obtain a Forklift/MHE license and/or certification within 90 days of appointment and maintain thereafter every five years until age 60 and annually thereafter. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination. Qualifications For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing warehouse management operations and performing supply administrative functions to ensure accountability of an organization's assets. For the GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing supply administrative functions to ensure regulations compliance and accountability of an organization's assets. Education The following education may be substituted for specialized experience at the GS-09: A master's or equivalent graduate degree. OR Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. OR LL.B. or J.D. degree that is related to the position being filled. OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Your percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent. The following education may be substituted for specialized experience at the GS-07: One full year of graduate level education. OR A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement. OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
