Job description
The HVAC/EMCS Supervisor performs direct supervision and guidance of all HVAC and EMCS personnel. Schedules and oversees work for specific areas of responsibility as dictated by the Project Manager. Coordinates availability and application of resources for performance of all in-house work with other shop supervisors and the Operations Manager. Provides on-demand EMCS and HVAC experience to engineers, craftsmen and supervisors. Specific Responsibilities: Supervise HVAC and EMCS shops and set work schedules. Manage the freon room to include the APIMS Program.
Responsible for overseeing boiler inspections and air quality analysis. Ensures completion of all assigned preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
Oversees the purchasing of all material, including proper handling and storage and the issue of hazardous and flammable material.
Manage all timekeeping and approval for assigned employees.
Coordinate with vendor/obtain vendor assistance for maintenance/installation.
Ensure that EMCS components are certified and accredited in accordance with DOD and Air Force directives.
Identify facility controls requirements to Engineering Flight/Contracting Squadron.
Attend design charrettes to ensure feasible, standard and aggressive use of EMCS.
Manage RWP Program for assigned shops.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Requirements:
• Valid state driver's license.
• High School graduate or equivalent with prior government purchasing experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand American English to an eighth-grade level for a working knowledge of hazardous, safety, and environmental warnings, as per contract requirement. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate ideas effectively with personnel at all levels.
• Ability to work harmoniously with others.
