Job description

Duties The United States Space Force (USSF) is a military service that organizes, trains, and equips space forces in order to protect U.S. and allied interests in space and to provide space capabilities to the joint force. USSF responsibilities include developing military space professionals, acquiring military space systems, maturing the military doctrine for space power, and organizing space forces to present to our Combatant Commands. "Salary Range: This is an NK-02 position with full salary potential within that band, however the initial salary range offered for this position will be $39,841.00 to $64,159.00 which includes locality pay percentage, unless statutory or regulatory rules prevail. Follow on salary increases based on contribution MAY be earned within the full salary of the NK-02 pay band". Integrates and synchronizes Operations Flight work force for demand maintenance/customer service. Integrates and synchronizes Operations Flight work force for preventive maintenance (PM). Responsible for receiving all Civil Engineering work requirements and CE Enterprise IT data associated with operations management, warranty program management and investment planning. Executes Facility Manager Program. Maintains data in support of the installation Facility Manager (FM) program. Supports the Unit Control Center (UCC) during exercise and real world situations. This is a Mission Essential (ME) position performing a Mission Critical Function (MCF) which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency (cont'd) (cont'd) and through full resumption of all functions IAW DoDI 3020-42, Defense Continuity Programs. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Clerical and Administrative Support Positions Equipment Facilities and Services Series, 1603. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband (NK-01), equivalent to the next to lower grade (GS-04) or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include actively contributes as a team member; takes initiative to accomplish assigned projects. Identifies and pursues individual/team development opportunities. Guides others in accomplishing projects, assuming ownership of personal processes and products. Develops, modifies, and/or applies rules, procedures, or operations to resolve problems of moderate complexity/difficulty. Identifies and adapts guidance for new or unusual situations. Plans and conducts technical activities for projects. OR EDUCATION: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience as described above may be used to qualify for this position. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and maintain good working relations is essential. 2.Knowledge of safety, security, and environmental standards, regulations and requirements and how to apply them.
