ID: Shift: 12 HR Nights 19:00-07:00 Description: Job Specific Notes: Position: RN CVICU- Sanford, FLFacility Name: HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital?Shifts Available: Nights only (rotating weekends)Position Registered Nurse is responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirm; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a duly licensed practitioner authorized by the laws of this state to prescribe such medications and treatments. This position requires proficiency with EKG rhythm interpretation and Hemodynamics monitoring. Competency with ventilator management and IABP. Our Critical Care Department features a 12-bed CVICU, 8-bed ICU and 8-bed Neuroscience ICU. Qualifications: 5 yrs previous ACUTE CARE RN critical care experience required. CCRN and recent CVICU experience Required.NIHSS stroke certification requiredNursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.Current Florida State Registered Nurse license. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS/ACLS certification).Current PALS certification required. Loan RepaymentTuition Reimbursement/Assistance ProgramsPaid Personal Leave401k (100% annual match 3% to 9% of pay based on years of service)Identity Theft Protection discountsAuto, Home, and Life Insurance optionsAdoption AssistanceEmployee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP Please refer to the CBA or the local HR office to confirm if this benefit applies to your positionDescription for Job of Beds : 12-beds Patient Ratios : 1-1, 1-2, 1-3 (depends on patient acuity) Unit staffing description- (Charge nurse typically out of the numbers, unit secretary available on most days, staff RNs) : Type of equipment : Phillips monitoring system, Edwards Hemosphere, Alaris IV pumps Documentation system: Meditech Scheduling requirements: Rotating weekends (weekends are considered F, Sa, Sun) Floating policy: May be required to float outside of the department for hospital needs (e.g., ICU, step-down ICU, PCU) Patient Experience requirements: Exceptional bedside manner, able to communicate effectively with patients and families, able to multi-task and interact with other members of the interdisciplinary team.Hospital Specifics- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSSAdvanced skills needed: Able to safely care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation, titrate vasoactive medications and other drips as required to maintain hemodynamic parameters and/or sedation requirements, competent in recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing advanced access devices (e.g., a-line, CVCs, Swan-ganz catheters, etc.), working in a team atmosphere, and working collaboratively with members of the interdisciplinary team.
