Overview:
Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking an Engineering Aide to help assist engineers with data gathering, analysis and support for programmatic projects.

The successful candidate will be action-oriented and will play a key role in contributing to the project teams and/or company initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• Prepares documents, forms, and correspondence according to established company policies and procedures
• Performs routine testing and inspection functions to check performance or conformity with plans and specifications
• Researches regulations, procedures and technical reference materials
• Assists with data collection and analysis, updating of drawings, data entry, and engineering calculations
• Creates or prepares necessary documentation for projects
• Under close supervision, prepares plans, cost estimates, and specifications
• Assists in the preparation, filing, and retrieval of engineering maps, documents, and records
• Available to attend project meetings with the client and staff
• Available to meet with the regulatory agency to obtain relevant design data/requirements and permitting
• Identifies the needs to assemble a work force and necessary resources to complete the assignment
• Supervises and guides the assigned team to successfully manage the assignment
• Possesses good teamwork and cooperation

Qualifications:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics
• Basic understanding of engineering techniques, procedures, and codes
• Perform arithmetic with commonly used units of measure
• Develop geometric site and roadway, and yard piping layouts
• Develop rough and final gradings, grading sections, and piping profiles
• Develop civil drawings for various types of projects and clients
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and plot legal descriptions, including easements and deeds
