Job description

As a Field Service Technician V, you will be regarded as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will use your skills and expertise to perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on our products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. You'll be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying our products and updating and tracking the status of all field related equipment. You'll build and maintain effective relationships with our customers and provide them with onsite training. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Responsibilities: You will be responsible for repairs, replacement, and maintenance of the key components of aircraft and aircraft systems.
Read and work from drawings, blueprints, sketches, written procedures, planned work orders, technical work orders, and any other authorized reference material.
Interpreting manufacturer and internal manuals, drawings, technical references, and CAMPS documents.
Maintaining with aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to service.
Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
Work on complex technical problems to provide solutions.
Compliance with all Security Protocols on and in support of Aircraft Operations.
Experience with circuits and wiring assemblies and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and consistently.
Perform simple tests such as continuity checks.
Install and integrate wiring, and termination in accordance with system requirements.
Ability to terminate various coaxial, circular, and MIL-SPEC connectors.
Have good hand eye coordination and be able to use a variety of standard hand tools including crimpers and soldering irons.
Knowledge of proper ESD controls.
Windows/Domain administration tasks.
Patching of product specific systems.
Must be detail and quality oriented. Must-haves: High school diploma or GED equivalent, and typically 10 years of relevant experience and 2 years of experience in a lead role
A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Ability to understand and interpret complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
Advanced experience with the practical application of troubleshooting techniques
Advanced electrical wiring skills
Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time
Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally
Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command restriction requirements for deployed locations
Ability to deploy for a minimum of 90 days to various OCONUS operating locations.
Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Preferred: Prior experience in a Lead role; the ability to mentor, train, guide and inspect the work of subordinates Experience with FCC or FCC GROL
Prior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA and/or A+
Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Pilot Static Equipment gauges
