SUMMARY: Dawson is currently seeking applicants to fill our Dentist positions located throughout the State of Florida in support of the Medical Readiness Services for the Florida Army National Guard. Work is primarily weekends, with some occasional weekdays. All work is on a part-time "as needed' basis. We provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the Florida Army National Guard (FLARNG). DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete yearly examinations/screening and ensure accurate charting on Military forms Complete comprehensive dental treatment to include restorative, endodontic, and oral surgery Document findings/completed treatments on Military forms Safeguard all patient information Ensures all actions are in compliance with HIPAA and other appropriate federal and state laws and regulations Formulate and present recommendations and implementation strategies for significant changes to policies and procedures. Develop business models and solutions for healthcare performance planning, realignments, resource management, and decision support. Perform data extraction and manipulation using Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS) and Business Objects with multiple MHS data systems. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: CPR/BLS Certification Active Florida Dental License, with no restrictions A valid US driver's license Utilization of universal precautions for patient care Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly Ability to work for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed Must submit no less than two professional references with a resume Preferred Qualifications Comfortability in working in a mobile Dental setting Experience working within a Military setting PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Occasionally required to stand Occasionally required to walk Continually required to sit Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity Continually required to talk or hear?
