What You'll Do As Assistant Production Coordinator, you'll play a key role in the highly responsible position involving technical work in the operation and supervision of the auditorium. Lead and drive innovation in areas including set construction, technical operation of lighting and sound systems, equipment maintenance, and preventive safety operations. You'll have the chance to: Work closely with colleagues and students to enhance Contribute to campus-wide initiatives that promote collaboration and creativity with our student theater artists, our in-house performance groups, as well as our rentals and guests. Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for: Operation and supervision of the auditorium Scenic Construction and Painting Lighting and Sound work for events Maintenance of our shop and facilities Who We're Looking For We're seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have: Two (2) years of experience in technical theater productions and/or scene shop supervision. Professional or non-professional related work experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education. College coursework beyond the associates' degree in a related field may substitute at a rate of thirty (30) semester hours or forty-five (45) quarter hours on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. Required job duties are normally inside and require essential physical abilities such as lifting, carrying, pushing more than 25 pounds; walking standing; bending; stooping; good vision and hearing; reaching above shoulders; working with chemicals; etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform an essential function.
