Job Overview:

The AR Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring the timely and accurate posting of payments, and generating financial reports for the management team. This role will involve close collaboration with various departments to resolve billing discrepancies and manage collections processes, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities for the AR Staff Accountant:

• Generate and send invoices to clients and customers, monitor and manage incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely posting to accounts.
• Reconcile the AR ledger to ensure all payments are properly accounted for and follow up on overdue invoices and manage the collections process.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual AR reports for management review.
• Work closely with the controller to assist in month-end duties and producing financial reports
• Collaborate with other departments to address client inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies.

Qualifications desired for the AR Staff Accountant:

• Bachelors in accounting preferred, but not required
• 4+ years of experience in a staff accountant role with a focus on AR and a solid understanding of GAAP.
• Proficiency with Sage software & strong Excel skills
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills.

Location: Full-time, fully remote: Monday - Thursday (10-hour days) with Fridays off.

Salary: $57,000 - $67,000, depending on experience.
