USGI is seeking Capabilities Planners to support USSOCOM Concept Development and Integration Division. Responsibilities Maintain an in-depth understanding of all assigned projects and ensure fully capable support functions are executed
Oversee and perform the day-to-day management and administration of project tasks
Perform as senior technical advisor and manager for the development of Special Operations Forces (SOF) and Joint Concepts and capability requirement documents.
Conduct capability-based assessments during the development of SOF and Joint Concepts and capability requirement documents
Develop SOF and Joint Concepts, support/attend conferences, symposiums, and forums, and develop capability requirement documents
Apply knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to designated project activities to meet task requirements.
Support the development of strategic guidance with the Joint Staff
Support the development of capability-based assessments with SOF Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L)
Support USSOCOM in the development of the SOF vision and strategy
Participate in FPS-related forums, working groups, external assemblies (e.g., Conferences, technology shows, etc.)
Provide SOF mission analytical support to the members of cross-functional teams, working groups, operational planning teams, and other efforts as directed, including those hosted by organizations external to the headquarters (Joint Staff, components, GCCs, etc.)
Provide analysis to identify solutions and areas for further study to address capability gaps
Prepare briefs, information papers, and presentations as required utilizing Microsoft Office family of products (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access)
Develop and maintain an electronic resource, to include key points of contact, to be used for mission continuity that may be accessed by all stakeholders
Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution
5 years' total experience in USSOCOM assigned organizations, as military, Government civilian or contractor
5 years of experience developing and presenting verbal and written products at the general/flag- level command staff
5 years' experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g., SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint, Access, Excel etc.)
Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
