USGI is seeking Irregular Warfare (IW) Analysts to support USSOCOM Concept Development and Integration Division. Responsibilities Maintain an in-depth understanding of IW-related activities as it pertains to special operations. IW-related activities include unconventional warfare (UW), stabilization, foreign internal defense (FID), counterterrorism (CT), counterinsurgency (COIN), military information support to operations (MISO) or psychological operations, cyberspace operations, countering threat networks, counter-threat finance, civil-military operations, and security cooperation.
Oversee and perform the day-to-day management and administration of IW-related project tasks.
Advisor for IW-related activities as it pertains to special operations.
Support the conduct of capability-based assessments and the development of SOF and Joint requirement documents
Support the development of strategic guidance
Coordinate activities with HQ J-Directorates, Service Components, JSOC, and TSOCs, as required.
Participate in IW-related forums, working groups, external assemblies (i.e. Conferences, technology shows, etc.).
Coordinate USSOCOM participation in Joint Staff and OSD IW-related meetings and working groups.
Orchestrate USSOCOM hosted IW-related meetings and working groups.
Provide expert analysis to identify solutions and areas for further study to address IW- related capability gaps.
Participate in wargames, experimentation, concept development, and implementation of DOTmLPF-P event analysis and change recommendation.
Apply knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to projects and activities to meet task requirements.
Prepare general / flag officer level reports and briefings
Prepare briefs, information papers, and presentations as required utilizing Microsoft Office family of products (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access).
Develop and maintain an electronic resource, to include key points of contact, to be used for mission continuity that may be accessed by all stakeholders.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution
Minimum of 5 years of experience in performing or supporting Special Operations IW-related activities. IW-related activities include unconventional warfare (UW), stabilization, foreign internal defense (FID), counterterrorism (CT), counterinsurgency (COIN), military information support to operations (MISO) or psychological operations, cyberspace operations, countering threat networks, counter-threat finance, civil-military operations, and security cooperation.
Minimum of 2 years of experience assigned to a Combatant Command (USSOCOM preferred).
Demonstrated ability in the use of SharePoint.
3 years of experience developing and presenting verbal and written products at the general/flag- level command staff.
2 years' experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g., SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint, Access, Excel etc.).
Prior military experience as a senior officer (04/5) or senior enlisted (E7+).
Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
