The company is currently seeking a Land Associate to assist with the functions required to maintain a successful Land Operations Department. The Company offers numerous options to help its employees achieve their financial, professional, and wellness goals including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance options Paid time off Company provided life insurance policy 401(k) plan and match Gym membership reimbursement Career development and opportunities for advancement Charitable activities and more General Duties and Responsibilities: Request and collect any due diligence information necessary for feasibility studies from external sources Provide necessary information to Divisions to complete any due diligence items Maintain feasibility file systems, both hard copy and electronic Coordinate and prepare feasibility/entitlement approval forms (FEA) for execution Maintain feasibility tracking report to keep accurate date information pertaining to all land or lot purchase contracts Work with Land Associate Development to ensure new vendors for feasibility are set up and payment applications are processed Work with Feasibility and Entitlement Manager to ensure land approval package preparation Disseminate land approval packages to appropriate Corporate staff Work with Land Acquisition staff to ensure land approval package deliverables are received in a timely fashion to prepare approval packages Review and prepare objections to Title Commitments for the Austin and San Antonio divisions. Review objection notices with Feasibility and Entitlement Manager before issuance Prepare contract approval notices when projects clear feasibility Prepare weekly summary of feasibility items, issues, or concerns Maintain earnest money database for all current and potential projects Maintain fully executed copies of fully approved books on the shared drive Prepare various reports as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications: 5 or more years experience in residential home building or related field; 2 or more of those years in the land department 5 or more years of experience reviewing or processing contract documentation is highly preferred High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree highly preferred Highly organized Strong time management skills; able to multi-task and see projects through to completion Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products; experience with JDE Homebuilding Module a plus Must be willing and able to learn and quickly become proficient in industry-specific software products At Brightland Homes, LTD., employment opportunity is based upon personal capabilities and qualifications without regard to race, creed, color, religion, sex, age, ancestry, national origin, disability, veteran status, pregnancy, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic as established by law.
