Job Overview:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing and managing the company's payroll system to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. This role involves maintaining payroll records, calculating wages, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Payroll Specialist will also assist with various HR-related functions, including benefits coordination and tax filings.

Key Responsibilities for the Payroll Specialist:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review and verify employee time records and handle adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain employee payroll information, including wages, benefits, and tax withholdings.
  • Ensure compliance with all payroll regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare and submit payroll taxes, including federal, state, and local taxes.
  • Assist with year-end processes, including W-2 preparation and tax filings.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to resolve payroll-related issues.

Qualifications desired for the Payroll Specialist:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of federal and state payroll regulations.
