Job description

We are seeking a highly-skilled and experienced Project Manager to take the lead on a renovation and construction project for a prestigious and notable luxury high-rise residence and their amenities. This position is located in the Palm Beach Gardens area and would require relocation to that area. This pivotal role involves full-scale project planning and execution, managing a variety of subcontractors, reporting and efficiently communicating with the owners, and ensuring that all aspects of the project deliver optimal results, aligned with effective timelines and budgets.

This is a temporary position estimated to span anywhere from 1.5 - 3 years total. The PM position will be full-time, but will only last the duration of the construction project. The candidate will be contracted as either a full-time employee or an independent contractor based on insurance coverage requirements. This is a on-site position based in Palm Beach County.

Essential Functions:

Project Coordination: Conduct turnover meetings with Project Estimators to grasp all project facets. Prepare baseline schedules in collaboration with key stakeholders and provide detailed monthly updates.

Leadership: Directly manage Project Engineers, subcontractors, and administrative staff, ensuring top-quality deliverables and efficient task completion.

Contract and Compliance Management: Ensure prompt return of executed subcontracts and necessary legal documents like insurance certificates and bonds.

Reporting and Documentation: Regularly prepare and present progress and cost reports to stakeholders, including monthly status updates and forecasts.

Operational Support: Organize and lead pre-construction meetings and weekly project meetings to maintain transparency and address any arising issues.

Quality and Closure: Oversee project close-out, ensuring a high-quality finish and organized turnover.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in commercial construction project management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects, preferably in high-rise development.

Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Building Construction, or a closely related field. OSHA 10/30 Safety Certification required.

Skills: Exceptional leadership and communication abilities. Strong multitasking skills and the capability to work under pressure. Proficient in MS Office, Sage Project Management, Procore, and MS Project preferred.

Traits: Must possess a professional demeanor, be a team player, and show a high level of initiative and dedication to quality improvement.

Out-of-area (Florida-based) candidates strongly encouraged to apply. Please note that relocation will be required to Palm Beach County seeing as this in an on-site opportunity and relocations costs will be the responsibility of the candidate.

Compensation:

Our clients are looking to provide the employee with a competitive annual salary, in direct consideration to the scope of work required within the role. This position will not provide additional stipends or reimbursements, but instead will be one all-in annual salary for the employee. This position does not provide benefits beyond PTO and paid holidays.
