Job description

Senior Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Practitioner
TSCM Practitioners shall conduct TSCM investigations in accordance with DoD Instruction 5240.05 for the SOCOM enterprise and operate the USSOCOM and SOCCENT In Place Monitoring System (IPMS), to include installation, operation, and maintenance of sensors, conducting scans for unauthorized Radio Frequencies (RF) and communications devices, and operation of the government's preferred mobile cyber security platform. Tasks include: • Collaborate with the USSOCOM J2X, DoD TSCM Enterprise, servicing law enforcement agencies, and network defenders to provide CI support to Cybersecurity.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging technical threats and capabilities.
• Create and maintain a baseline electromagnetic (EM)/RF, power-line and baseline networks for comparative analysis.
• Conduct TSCM surveys to detect, deter, and neutralize technical penetrations employed by foreign intelligence services targeting the SOF enterprise.
• Baseline and detect Signals of Interest for EM/RF, power, and networks.
• Operate an IPMS and analyze all signals of Interest to determine the threat.
• Draft reports on analysis and findings from the IPMS.
• Recommend countermeasures to mitigate technical hazards and vulnerabilities; and log them into an incident tracker. Qualifications
• Graduate of Department of Defense or Federal Counterintelligence/Law Enforcement Badge & Credentialing School. • Certification from the TSCM Fundamental Course, Inter-Agency Training Center, Fort Washington Maryland.
• Must have or acquire within 90 days of employment and maintain current (within 3 years) Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II or higher certifications (IAW DoDI 8140.01, Cyberspace Workforce Management and DoDM 8570.01, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program).
• 5 years TSCM experience performing Advice & Assistance, Executive Travel Support, Penetration Investigations, In-Conference Monitoring, Technical Threat Briefs and Countermeasures Recommendations.
• 5 years combined experience with the installation, analysis and operation of receivers: RAIDER III, STC, DART, Network Guard, Antenna Port Switchers (such as ISU8 & Cory Micronics or Equivalent) and current networked RF receivers.
• Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Must have valid Passport.
